Preservation Dental Presents: Winter CARnival
Toys for Tots holiday drive — Dr. William Demray, of Preservation Dental in Northville, dressed in a Victorian-era costume, while Dr. Rachael Stockhausen, of Precision Endodontics in Livonia, dressed…
Preservation Dental® is proud to call the city of Northville home, sweet home. Dr. William Demray is known to finish his day in the office, then rolling up his shirtsleeves – weeding the award winning pocket garden in front of the office, putting up a tent to shade the parking lot for face painters on the 4th of July, measuring the open area between the town clock and the storefront to make sure the antlers of the MooseVagens can make their way down Main St. in the Holiday Lighted Parade. Dr. Demray and his staff play an active role in the community – serving on Boards, helping with fundraisers, brainstorming with the Chamber of Commerce and other community leaders – always tackling projects with genuine enthusiasm and a hands-on approach. They offer up their time, talent and treasures. The reward is almost always “giving back to the community” that has been so generous and gracious to the practice. Dr. Demray and Preservation Dental® were featured on an episode of the PBS series Under The Radar, highlighting Dr. Demray’s community enthusiasm that is definitely contagious!
Dr. Demray serves as emcee of the annual 4th of July Parade in Northville: “The parade is such a gem. Everyone who participates does so from the heart. No matter how jostled the world around us is, the heart of what matters can be found in the thousands of loyal parade goers who line the streets of my hometown for this patriotic celebration year after year. I am honored to have the opportunity to serve as emcee with Lisa Barry.” (The Northville Community Foundation puts on the parade.)
We have served up more than 1,000 hots dogs, air-brushed more than 1,000 faces-heads-arms or legs (of all ages!) and the signature VWs – known to all as the PD Bugs – have driven more than 1,000 miles – for Northville’s one-to-two square mile parade routes! The PD Team is pleased to build awareness and raise funds for local, national and international organizations – which have included the Northville Historical Society, Northville’s Art House, Tipping Point Theatre, Muscular Dystrophy Association, Susan G. Komen Foundation, American Association of University Women, Celebrities Against Autism, University of Detroit Mercy and the Pierre Fauchard Academy. We are proud to have helped raise more than $100,000.00 for worthwhile causes that touch the hearts and lives of our families, our friends and our patients.
When asked “Why do we do it?” The answer is easy. We like where we live and we believe our actions speak louder than words. We do what we do hand-in-hand with our patients and they are thrilled to get in on the act!
