The Academy, as a nonprofit organization, is dependent upon voluntary contributions, fellowship fees and annual membership dues to support its worldwide programs.
Pierre Fauchard Academy Fellowship

And in 1728 Pierre Fauchard, who was widely acknowledged as the “Father of Modern Dentistry” published “LeChirurgien Dentiste” which contained detailed information about all aspects of contemporary dentistry. It was his lead that encouraged others. For example, before the end of the century in England the distinguished surgeon, John Hunter, published his book “The Natural History of the Human Teeth” and the first course of dental lectures was established at Guy’s Hospital in London.”
