On July 4, 2014 Preservation Dental, the office of Dr. William Demray presented 50 American Flags carried by a volunteer corps of 50 marchers from all walks of life. Family – friends – patients – students – professionals – youngsters – seniors – from Northville, Livonia, Plymouth, to Monroe MI to Wheaton IL – everyone and everywhere in between joined in Northville’s annual parade! The patriotic spectacle encouraged donations for refurbishing the mural dedicated to the memory of those who lost their life on 9/11 – which can be seen on the Marquis Theatre wall, Main Street – Northville MI. The restoration of the flag was completed in November, 2014.
The iconic flag is the same size as the one that inspired Francis Scott Key to write the Star, Spangled Banner. The tourist attraction in Northville is featured on the official 9/11 Registry in NYC.
